Sanity help!
I need some sanity help. I have so much going on right now that I just want to eat the quick easy wrong things. I am getting married next week. We are moving July 3. My dad has been in the hospital for heart problems (he got out yesterday). My fiance's mom was admitted to the hospital yesterday early morning for dehydration from having the flu. My rear car window shattered yesterday and had to pay to get that fixed today. I've had water in my apartment from the last couple storms. OMG I just want to pull my hair out with the stress. I just want to eat and eat. Ok I have to admit that I have faltered some. I am eating part of a Godfather's mini combos right now. Its about the size of a Pizza Hut personal pan if you aren't familiar with the size of Godather's. Ahh ok help me calm down and give me some sanity. Can anyone find a way to shove it through the computer to me???!!!?? hahaha Ok gotta go get to a kids baseball game. Oh yeah tournaments going on now too.
I usually find something nice to do for myself, like a candle lit soak in the tub (preferably when noones around). Or I buy myself some new color of toenail polish and paint them and admire how pretty my toes look(lol sounds funny). Just something little that I enjoy and I can take a little bit of time out to notice how it makes me happy instead of feeling miserable when I eat something I know I shouldn't. Hope this helps, Kati.
Steph, Stress is so hard to handle after the lap band. You need to be good to yourself like Kati said and have some time for yourself. Take a long walk or jus****ch a romantic movie. Most times we forget to take care of ourselves when others are needing us to spend all of our time on them. Just remember you are very important and you need to take care of your health first. Stephanie, You are getting married and moving!! Awesome No wonder you are stressed! I agree with the bath but what about a nice cup of tea or large whatever you like and just soak. Music would be great and don't forget the candles. I know it doesn't seem like you have time, but make time. Like Jimmie told us the other night...... if you need ice cream, just go in and take ONE bite. Isn't that the best bite anyway? I am excited for you. Keep us informed!
Hi Steph, I agree with the others. I get a facial or treat myself to some roses or whatever makes me happy. When you are getting stressed, step back. Take a pretty glass and fill it with your sugar free beverage. Relax and think about what you are going to eat. If after 20 minutes you still feel that you need to eat the food,eat it. You have made a conscious decision to eat the offending food. Remember, Nothing tastes as good as Thin feels. Mona
