Nortfolk?
Welcome Vanessa. I was born an Air Force brat, became an Army wife. ( first son born at Fort Bragg) Then I became an Air Force wife. ( second son born in Naples Italy, daughter born at Holloman AFB, New Mexico) I got a kick out of reading your blog on military spouses. We moved so often I never learned to deep clean, when it was time to be moving the stove and fridge to clean , we just moved. I adored the military life. I worked at my trained profession on base in Italy ( dental Assistant) but couldn't get paid so it was all volunteer. My husband and I divorced after 23 yrs of marriage, but only 19 and a half of our marriage was while he was in service and the wife has to "put in" 20 years also. So I lost all my priveledges and medical. Even now when I pass Offutt I can't keep from crying because I feel that is my home and I can't even go on base. My oldest was quite ill so we spent a lot of time in Germany seeing doctors. Our base in Italy was so small we got sent away for medical care. Anyway ,welcome it is good to see a military wife. I hope you will enjoy Nebraska. Yes, WLS is a blessing for sure and you look wonderful..Blessings

Hi Vanessa, welcome to Nebraska! I live about 2.5 hours from Norfolk, NE (north central NE). My family and I travel to Norfolk once a month for doctor and orthodontic appointments. Though I've never lived in Norfolk, I have been there or driven through there a bazillion times. If I can help you in your transition in any way...drop me a note.
