I went to the Dr. todqa and things are finally looking up gave me a tenative date I can go back to work Feb. 18th. Got all 45 staples removed what a weird feeling. My daughter took me and we were both hungry but I was really tired so we went through Hardee's to eat, I ordered roast been sandwich and just ate the meat.   Wonder how many calories that was. Then we came on home and went to my local Dr. and got the flu shot they only had 4 doses left. Home health care will come out tomorrow and draw some blood from me to make sure the infection is going away.  Should be with all the antibiotics I am on. Anyway I am really upbeat today, maybe getting out even though it was cold was good for me. Barb

Barb, It sounds like you are on your way to recovery! My calorie counter says that a regular hardees roast beef is 330 calories.  I don't know the breakdown between meat and bread but max 330  :)

Sorry we missed you t/other day. Sorry hubby was sick. Hope he's better now. You did great eating only t/meat !! The protein was great & ya didn't add a high carb with it. In my option..it doesn't matter how many calories it was if ya ate it w/o carbs. I'm soooo glad you're feeling better. Keep in touch. Ya got t/clothes didn't ya ? Woohoo

Jill, Yes I did get the clothes that you so much. Stuart went back to work today,I think he should have taken another day off, but he has missed so much work this last month because of me. It is going to be a long 4 weeks till I can get rid of my central line, and go back to work.  I must be really bored, I am starting to watch reruns of Beverly Hillbilliies and Waltons and Little House on the Prairie...........then I have to watch Dr. Phil every day......

Hi Barb, I am glad you are feeling better.  The staple removal is kind of weird. Keep up the good work. Mona

I am so glad to hear that you are doing better.  I am so sorry that we didnl't get a chance to visit the other day.  Am looking forward to have you back in group when you can make it.  It sounds like the flu is bad again this year.  I got my flu shot early, but then I always do.  I have rumatoid arthrits and that makes my immune system weak.  Keep gettin better my prayers stay with you.  Hazel
