Do you go to your surgeon's support groups?

Do you go to your surgeon's support groups?  Do you find it helpful.  What's your thoughts on them?  Do you prefer them or any of the support groups from here (as in from the support groups link above)?

I know there is one scheduled tomorrow night at the UNMC - I'm back and forth as to whether I will go.  Are you going?

I didn't make it tonight - I completely forgot my priorities - FOOTBALL!  But lets do it next month.  Did I give you my phone number?  If not I'll email it or Sandy can give it to you. 

I am trying to go out of town that first week of February but remind me and if I am in town, I will meet you up there.  Sounds like a date! 

I started going to Dr. White's support group two months before my surgery in October and still continue to go.  I think it is very informative to listen to other people in the same situation.  You get a lot of good information/suggestions/advice from the group.  Dr. White's wife, Mary, is the support group leader and she is just great.  She also schedules speakers every few months.  I've also found that either Dr. White himself or his program coordinator often drop in unannounced and always take the time to answer questions.  They meet the first Wednesday of the month at Immanuel's Holling Center at 7:00 or the first Monday of the month at 7:00 at Lakeside Hospital.

Ok you all convinced me, I put the next support group meeting on my calendar from my surgeon on 2/6.
