Moving to Grand Island. Any good Dr's Around?

Hello from Ohio, My husband and I are moving to Grand Island in March and I'm wondering if there are any RNY Dr's around this area. I had my surgery July 11, 2007 and have lost 150 lbs so far. I am really hoping to keep on top of my post op check ups. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Dr. Goering He is with Surgery group of Grand Island.  908 North Howard Ste 105, Grand Island NE (north of St. Francis) 1-800-652-3754 or 308-384-7200. He doesn't do the lapband, just bypass ect.  I have heard good things, but He wasn't my doc.  There are some support groups in the area too.  Welcome to nebraska!  the good life!

I live in Grand Island, I had lap band surgery done in Sept.   My regual GP has done all of my preop and post op lab work,  ( by the way he wanted me to have the gastric bypass but my mind was made up for the lap band)  so if you are looking for a good general practioner Dr. Werner at the Grand Island Clinic is wonderful.   He spends lots of time with you each time you are going in going over past medical history, he isn't just a hello and goodbye Dr. he reviews your chart each time you are there.  And also very supportive of me when I finally decided to have weight loss surgery. Mornin Linda.  Glad to have you as a Nebraskian.  Dr. Gering in Grand Island did my daughters RNY and he is a wonderful doctor.  There are also a number of good GP's in Grand Island as well.  Once again, Welcome to Nebraska and keep us posted on when you will be here.  Hazel P.S.  I am from Hordville which is close to Grand Island.

Linda, I had Dr. Goering for a surgeon. He and his staff are excellent. Can't find any better. He answers all questions and spends extra time with you if needed. He will make you feel very comfortable. Rhonda
