Help!!!!

Ok, I have been looking into WLS for almost a year now. I finally have been approved for Medicaid and have been told that Medicaid covers WLS. I am going to the informational meeting at the University of Nebraska Medical Center on December 17th. Ive been trying to find testimonials on Drs. Corrigan McBride and Dmitry Oleynikov. Had anyone had surgery with either of these two doctors or know anything about them? Any information and help would be great! I am excited that I have gotten one step closer to have WLS

Hi Darcy, I had lapband surgery with Dr. McBride this past September. Dr. McBride was recommended to me by my primary care physician.  She is pretty forthright and upfront.  She does not pull any punches, I say this because she warned me against gaining any weight, well at my pre op appointment, I gained a few pounds and I ended up on a liquid diet until my surgery date. Her staff is very caring and responsive.  Waiting time was minimal for appointments.  Like any surgeon she is busy but she will take the time to answer  any questions you may have.  As for the surgery, I did not have any complications during or after the procedure.  If you are having lapband, then she does want you to stay overnight.
