Best to you, Blessings

No Jean - no date yet. They first wanted me screened for any sleep disorders, which I did this past Monday night. Now I wait for the results and hope the surgery date comes soon! It's been great connecting with people who have had surgery before. It's nice to have sisters in this journey. Hope to talk to you more. Jen
Hi Barb - and fellow Grand Islander! I grew up in GI and graduated class of 1990. No date yet. I had a sleep study monday night and now I'm waiting for the results. I think this was my last step before surgery. I've found that the small changes I've made so far (eating oatmeal instead of muffins for breakfast, no soda, smaller portions, etc) has made a big difference. I'm excited for the changes to start coming. It's been great to talk to everyone online and make some friends with folks who can relate to me. I'll definitely keep you posted. Thanks, Jen
Yes, I can remember. I got my lap-band in June. I was awaiting approval by mail. The funny story is when my husband brought in the mail he handed me the letter & waited for my reaction. After I started to read ..I began to cry..he said.."I'm sorry. They turned you down ?" I said no..still balling my eyes out. He said," Then why are you crying?" Hey, I said you wouldn't understand unless you'd been there.
Hi Jill - The insurance company has approved me, I've had my psych eval, and my initial consultation with the surgeon. I had to do a sleep study (as ordered by the insurance company), which really felt like a waste of time, but I guess it's better to be safe, rather than sorry. Now I suppose I wait for the results of the sleep study, and wait to hear from the surgeon. I'm not good at waiting - haha! Thanks for the support, Jen
