It has been a long rough road , but as of yesterday I have a date. Thanks to everyone at Western Surgercial Group that helped me . August 21 st.  that's the big day.  I can't believe after three years of denials and heart ache it's finally happening. So I say to all of you that are waiting there is hope. I have a very strong faith and many times it was tested . But  GOD doesn't make mistakes .  Does anyone have any ideas on what I need to stock up on ?  I want to be prepared when I come home. Bottled water, shakes , ETC ?  if shakes what kind do you recommend? Are weigh****cher shakes o.k. I have a bunch of those and they are good.

All prayers are welcome !!!!

Hi, WooHoo! Congratulations on your date! Have sugar free, non carbonated beverages to  drink. You will be on clear liquids for 48 hours then drippy liquids such as thin mashed potatoes, soups. Get a kitchen timer and a baby spoon. Hope this helps. Mona

I  I am so thrilled for you! My daughter has been fighting for over 5 years and she just got her date of aug.14. I give all those who get a date a infant spoon and a 3 minuet timer, I have the support group in North Platte. I also got a snow come maker and it has been around my support group. I use crystal lite over the ice. If you have the band Dr.H doesnt like us to have protien shakes. Betty Croker has really good 4 cheese instant potatoes also. Do you have a support group? If so please go regularly. Check out our web site. www.npwlssg.org Join and ask anything if you need help. I have free incoming calls on my cell , so you can call me with question. anytime 308-539-5712 . Later and lighter, Beth

Congratulation!  My advice would be NOT to buy babyfood......good thing my granddaughter doesn't know they actually make food that tastes!!!  My girlfriend lent me a manual babyfood grinder which I took with me to work and even for a weekend outing that was planned before my surgery.  Bless her, she sat right there and ground my food for me.  When I asked the two of them if they were embarrassed the other one said, if it will make you feel better, I will grind mine!!!  If I ever wondered before (which I didn't) now I know why I have been friends with them for 20 years!!  You too will find you have a special rooting section.         Jeannie
