I am looking at having some plastic surgery done and I wondered if any one out there on Medicare has had plastic surgery.  Do they pay any under any cir****tances.  I won't be able to do it unless my medicare pay part of it. Hazel

I have been wondering this myself.. I guess we could call the 1-800 medicare number. I have had 2 obstruction surgeries since Oct. So I dont see it happening in the next couple of years but I still wonder. I would love to have this hanging tummy hit the road..

Hi Hazel, you have to prove medical necessity for medicare or any other insurance to pay for plastics. You have to either have chronic rashes underneath your belly or a hernia. If you are looking to have your arms or thighs done, it is considered cosmetic. What a bummer after all the hard work you did. Mona
