For all of you that have cable tv and get The Learning Channel, Starting on Monday of next week they will begin broadcasting a new show called Big Medicine. I'm looking forward to this and I'm hoping to glean more information and help out of it also. It will be on Monday evening sometime. I look forward to watching it and seeing what goes on.

Well I'm glad you have TLC because TLC is the learning channel.  When I first saw the commercials I was immediately interested and thought it was fantastic that someone finally has a tv series about the problem that the morbidly obese people face.

Hi, I am also looking forward to it. I hope it focuses on the positive aspects of weight loss surgery and the pain associated with dealing with obesity and the risks we took by having surgery. Mona

I hope they do too Mona. From all the messages I have received today some of the people on OH are some of their patients. According to one of their patients this father son group are a wonderful pair of doctors. By the way, my mother and father were originally from Omaha and I still have one aunt and several cousins there. My mama was raised in Madison and my ancestors on her side were quite active in the community. My great-grandmother was the first librarian for the Madison Public Library.

I, too, am anxious to see what they are all about.  I also enjoy watching the shows they have on the Discovery Health Channel on obesity.  Now, I just wish the healthy eating shows on the Food Channel were on every evening.  I find those shows motivational to cook healthy with a lot of different foods in different ways.
