I need A Surgery Angel

I Am In The need of a person(s) to accompany me to my surgery til i come out .My family has backed out of being there for me.my surgery is 3/19 07 11:30am in Omaha at Immanuel Hosp. Can someone meet me,I am In Lincoln Neb.?!I go for my pre op consult in Omaha on the 6th of March,,i have no support from anyone,,please help.if i sound desperate I AM ..no support groups or friends that will be by my side..Please help,,help help...thanks Wendy

Hi,Mona Thanks for responding to my post needing an angel..I have been working hard,, geesh,,i read my post over again and didnt realize how bad that sounded,,think i went a little too far or may have overreacted,,good to at least hear (read) someone acknowledged my voice,,I did get a responce from a woman in Omaha i will be contacting her when i am done here..My number is 402-742-9813 i have dial up if its busy thats why.. Again thanks so much for acknowledging my post.. I am excited and scared at the same time. The dietician was so through at the surgeons office. I had a recent breakup from a 7 yr relationship so i lost there for support,,alot of changes going on in m y life because of this journey i am taking,,but i am ok with that,,I want to start feeling better for myself,,I have always put others before me ,,now its my time (even if it means having to start over with all new friends),,hugs to you,,Wendy

Hi Wendy! I live in Omaha and I would be happy to come and visit you while you are here for your surgery. I only have one issue...unfortunately I work two jobs and so I am at work from 7:30am until 9:30pm. I'm not for sure exactly if they have visiting hours but if you would like, I can take a little time off of work some afternoon while you are there and at least come and see how you are doing. Thanks Everyone; I Think I should have rephrased my self;I Am just choosing to go it with someone i feel comfortable with,, this is a huge step for me considering my situation with my heart condition,,anyway,i will be fine now,,i have found people now to join me for my new journey,thanks again for all your words of wisdom,,yes i do have anxiety but i will be fine.. 7 days and counting,,i am ready,,god bless you all in your journeys..Wendy

Hi Wendy, I had my surgery in Lincoln last Tuesday. You are going to do great! I think you will have all the support and encouragement any person can handle just form this site. Also remember the group meetings. They have them at St. E's and I bet anyone can come. You'll get great support there to. I'm a week out ans struggling a little, but not enough to wish I hadn't done it! My body just needs time to figure everything out, and yours will too. You will do great! Maybe we can help each other, we are at about the same point with our surgeries just a week apart. I will be praying for you now and through your surgery. YOU ARE WORTH IT! --Angie
