Starting the journey !!

I am just beginning the process of WLS. I will attend my first seminar next week in Omaha with Dr. T White. I have heard great things about him. Like everyone, I am concerned about getting approved by my insurance company. My plan does cover WLS ,howver, I have only had the insurance since November of 2006. Anyone have this dilema?? And perhaps it is not one.

Chris, Contgrats on starting the great journey!! Its the best thing you can do for yourself! I run the support group in North Platte and I'm about 5 years out and have had great success, I might add. I'm sure your insurance will pay if they cover WLS. Make sure you find a support group and get started going to the meetings as they can answere any question in the process you might have. Hi Chris, I don't think it matters how long you have had the insurance policy. They should pay as long as it covers wls. Congratulations on your decision to have surgery. I am another "old" bandster. Let us know if we can be of any help. Mona
