Nice to meet ya...

Hi everyone, I am so new to this all that I feel really really green. I am hoping to have Lap-Band with Dr. Hung in Lincoln. I go on Thursday and have my Psychological eval, meet with the Dietician & the Pre-Op Support Group. I am so excited and scared to death at the same time. I don't even know where to begin. My insurance won't pay a dime, so I am having my surgery (that is if I am able to follow through) at the Outpatient Clinic. I would love to hear ANY advice, suggestions, hints, ideas, etc. that you can pass on to me from you experience. I really only know one other person that has had the Lap-Band and don't even know her real well. I belong to TOPS, so I do have a support group in place, but none of the ladies in my group are familiar with Lap-Band. I will try and check back on this board, but I'm not even sure I am posting to the right place. --Angie

Hi Angie, Best of luck in your journey! I read the lap band board every day! There is a lot of activity and a lot of questions/answers. If you click on forums, choose lapband and then on the left choose message board.

WElcome ! I am not a lap bander but we have some awesome , active lapbanders here.Hang in there I think the pre-surgery hoop jumping is the worst!! Again, we are glad you are here..jeanb
