Hotel near Dr. Anthone's office & hospital ?

Am so excited to be going to Omaha Jan 11 to attend Dr. Anthone's seminar and also the support group meeting and then have my initial appointment with him the next day on Jan 12. Is anyone familiar with the area and maybe know of a mid-priced hotel close to his office? - I think it is Regency Circle and then wherever it is that they hold the seminar and support group meeting? Haven't booked air fare yet, but think I will only need one night in the hotel. Am hoping not to need a rental car and just stay fairly close to all the places I need to be and use a cab back and forth. Thanks very much for any suggestions. Lynn (from Seattle, WA area)

not yet; had a little detour . . . we have had miserable weather and have been without power inlcuding heat over the past 48 hrs; just getting back on track tonight and now starting to look online - just not sure what is nearby to his office and the seminar.

Got my travel plans finalized; am flying in on Wed Jan 10 late eve, staying at LaQuinta Inn on North 104th Ave - sounds like it will be fine and not too far away from the seminar & support meeting. What's your weather like? Must be cold. DUH ! I have only had voicemail messages from Dr. Anthone, so it will be nice to finally meet him. Hope to see some of you on this list at the group meeting. That is about the cloest nicely priced hotel. My doc is Dr Thomas White....but I've herd Dr Anthone is awesome. Good luck!

Just in case you're still looking.........Dr. Anthone's office has a list of places to stay and their phone numbers. Some of them will give you a discount for being there for a Dr. Appointment. Anissa P.S. Great Surgeon!!!

thanks, Anissa, didn't think to ask his office for suggestions, but have a room reserved at LaQuinta so that will be fine for this short trip. Might have to get a little pickier when I am actually in Omaha for the surgery . . . will need a place with a kitchenette. Not sure how long Dr. Anthone requires an out of town patient to stay in Omaha post op. I am thinking at least a week after being out of the hosp. Anybody know? Lynn Seattle
