Hi everyone, Haven't posted in a while here, but just thought i would update. Went to Dr. Goering for my 6 month check up and have lost 100lbs!!!! He was extremely pleased and so am I. Just going through some rough time right now, my Dad is dying of lung cancer. He will probably be gone in the next day or two. So very emotional time, happy about the weight loss, but really sad about my dad. Did go to Florida last week to see him and my siblings were there too with their children. So my dad did get to see part of the results of the surgery that he actually paid for. Just wish he would be around to see the end results, but at least I'll have another guardian angel helping me lose the rest of my weight. Jimmy, I will try and be at the support group in NP but at this time I will probably be flying east to NJ for the funeral any time now. But i really don't know at this time. Hope all is well with everyone. Laura

Hi Laura, WooHoo! Congratulations on your weight loss. That is so awesome! I am sorry to hear about your dad. I am going through a similar thing with my sister. She also has lung cancer. She is getting chemotherapy and it makes her so tired. Keep up the good work with your weight loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Mona

Hi Mona, Thanks for the good wishes. Sorry to hear about your sister. This is such a awful disease. My prayers and best wishes go out to you and your family, and may she have a good result with the chemo. My dad made it over 3 1/2 yrs after his diagnosis and surgery, no chemo/radiation and then in Feb. it came back and then he started chemo, but for him it only worked a little and then stopped. So I pray your sister recovers. Tell your sister my dad drank Ensure and that helped his strength a lot. Best of luck, Laura

I am so sorry you are having to go through this Laura. That is how I lost my dad, breast cancer that came back a few years later as lung cancer, he was gone with in a month. I still miss him but celebrate that he was in my life as long as he was. It is great that he will get to see you the progress you are having and that he had a hand in making possible. Sending you a big bear hugg, Jeanb
