I got my insurance approval

It's been awhile since I posted anything.... been waiting and waiting for my approval... well I finally got approved YAY !! I just got my letter Friday, and of course by the time I got my mail, Dr. Sudan's office was closed. So I will be calling them in a bit to set up a date. I'm so doing the happy dance I'll let y'all know when just as soon as I know !!!

Well I WISH you well on your good news. And now the real waiting begins before you know it you will be in the ole surgery room and then your real journey will begin. Again congratulations on your wonderful news. And keep us posted. jimmy

Thanks so much Jimmy!! I go up this Friday for the nutrition program, and they have already told me it will be end of October first of November. Not too long to wait, but I know the days are going to drag by. I can't wait to join all of you wonderful people on the losing side. ...WAY TO GO...... I am counting the days down.... So how long did it take for your insurance to approve you? And what type of surgery are you having? Angela

Hi Angela !! Counting the days huh?? How many more have you got to wait?? It actually only took a couple months, once he got on the ball and sent in my eval.... took him almost 2 months alone to do that !! I've decided on the RNY.... for 2 reasons: 1.) I am soooo a sweet fanatic...but I dont like to be sick and if I eat the sugar then I will be pretty sick.... so for me that is a great tool !! 2.) Is because it's one of the fastest ways to get this off.... I also need knee replacement surgery on both my knees, and the dr wont touch it until I'm down to 180 pounds. And I so want to be able to LIVE again, not just exist. What type of surgery are you having?? Where are you having it and who is your dr?? I'm having mine in Omaha, and my dr is Dr. Sudan. Omg, this post could turn into a letter !! Keep me posted I'd love to hear from you !! Lori

Lori, Congratulations! You and I "talked" last year. I'm from Falls City, too and still haven't figured out who you are! I finally got approved on August 16 after a year of "fighting" with the insurance company! I also have Dr. Sudan as my surgeon. I've had my psych eval and met with Shelly the nutritionist and my surgery is scheduled for October 17. I'm have the BPD/DS surgery.
