Conferance talk

I'm still glowing from the awesome conferance !! I went to get re-motivated, learn, and meet people. And it was 100% success on all fronts. I am so jeolous of you who are with in driving of Grand Island. You have no idea how blessed you are to be around such a motivated bunch. Mona is so quiet but I am in awe of someone who can get so much done! Mona, please get 7 T-shirts with big gold stars on the front and wear them every day!! ( move to Omaha, will you?) Dr. Monica Ganz is so down to earth and such an inspiration. I learned So Much. Beth, you are great and I am so glad I was finally able to meet you. Jimmy, the next time you call yourself "shy" I'm going to out you!! I got a great picture of you taking pictures. Hey Ya'll Jimmy has a drop dead georgous, fun, nicest person wife. My daughter and I took clothing to share and it was so nice to have people come in our room and chat and to see things go to people who can really use it. About 40 people went to the same restaurant Saturday night and we had the best time getting to know like minded people. So many times I wished I had invited my boyfriend to come. He would have learned so much, and maybe understood where I was coming from more. He has only known me"normal" and I haven't said a lot about my surgery. He knows and it is a pain in the a** to him how I always am so picky at restaurants. When I told him I was going to this conferance, he was not happy. " I would think after the surgery you would just want to forget about it and not look back" To be successful I HAVE to always remember where I have come from( as if I could forget). Every day is a glowing blessing to me now. When I came home he said he was sorry he had thought about it a lot and he did need to know more to understand me. I said I was sorry for keeping so much to myself and I needed him to know more. Next year the conferance will be in Colorado Springs and it will be great ! If you considered going this yearbut didn't, don't let anything stand in your way resolve now to do this for yourself, YOU ARE WORTH IT !! I don't care how much we think we know, there is always something new and important for our health to learn. Long winded Jeanb

here's another thumbs up about the gering conference..I learned a lot also and its almost been a year since my surgery.. It was nice to meet so many people and now I am very motivated to complete my journey.. Dr. Gantz is a very great speaker..I dont think I will ever forget her words!!! it was an awsome trip!!! Jean, sometimes my dh goes to GI to do drug testing for the RR and I generally go along so send me your phone number and I will call you when we do. Maybe we cang get together. Hugs, Beth

Well glad you had a good time and I was shy but that was 50 years ago when I was born now I've came out of my shell. I like to say you gals from Omaha area must be awsome to drive all way across the state. Well keep up the good work. I think Donna and I will be coming to Omaha next month if we do we will give ya a call . Well until later jimmy

Hi Jean, I am just writing to let you know we are going to try to start a small support group, just to meet in between the monthly groups. We are working to get certified from OH. Our 1st meeting will be Wednesday night at 7pm in Bellevue if you can make it you can e-mail me and I will give to the information. This is for any one who wants to come and get extra support.
