UHC, Choice Plus HELP PLEASE

I am so far depressed that I can't even drag myself out of bed anymore. I read all these approvals from UHC and I can't get them to even sell me another plan without an exclusion...and no one else will cover me, pre existing condition. My husband has UHC choice plus thru his job, but it has an exclusion...i've hired an attorney...he isn't getting anywhere fast either, every day another door is slammed in my face. I truly am not living but existing, dragging myself into work to make money to support my husband and kids and laying the rest of my life in bed...i've been at this for almost 2 years....i'm tired of fighting, but i'm even more tired of thought about giving up. what else can I do> I have been to the nebraska advocacy service, nebraska dept. of insurance....i've begged UHC...what else can I do??? why doesn't anybody consider this and all my problems a medical emergency??? why doesn't anybody else even understand....i'm screaming discrimination at the top of my lungs!!!! A heart attack patient doesn't have to wait 2 years for treatment, and that's exactly where I'm headed, that or a stroke by the time I'm 40 the doctor says. I can't afford this surgery, my only option is insurance....am i the only one that has ever felt this way? Is there anything left that I haven't tried????? Sincerely, Sheila

Hi Sheila, Unfortunately you are not the only one going through this. Some insurance companies just don't get it. I wish I had an answer for you. You might try borrowing money on your house or retirement. There are also loan companies who will lend money for surgeries. I hope this helps a little.Mona
