anyone going to UNMC meeting Monday?

Monday, June 19th, UNMC (in Omaha) is having one of their informational seminars and a support group meeting afterwards. This will be my first one. I am just curious if anyone else on the boards is going...would be fun to meet. Well, lol, I guess we'd meet anyway if you're going, but it would be nice to *know* we're meeting. hugs, emily

Emily, Congrats on deciding to go to the meeting. I had surgery 6 weeks ago and cannot recommend UNMC more if I tried. The bariatric surgery staff is great. From surgeons to nurse coordinators to all the people who help get things going for you. Just go into the meeting, sit down and start talking to the people around you. The UNMC folks will guide you through the process and we look forward to seeing you in support group. -D

Congratulations D on your recent surgery. How are things going for you? Emily, I hope you get approved. It is often a long road to approval from insurance, but it will be well worth the wait..trust me. I went through UNMC for my surgery, I am just a little over 2 yrs out and I have had just a beautiful experience! Dr. Thompson was my surgeon and what an awesome job that he did. I am now embarking on plastics..just got my approval today and I hope my experience is just as wonderful and complicated free. If you all have any questions or wantto chat, just let me know. Hillari
