Things have been going slow. But finally this last week I had several WOW moments. I have started back to Weigh****chers, just so that I can get a weekly weigh-in and not have to own a scale. The last several weeks I had been losing 2 or 3 lbs, or less, and was getting very frustrated. Well this last Saturday I weighed in and the scale said that I weighed 278.8 lbs, I had lost 9.6 lbs. My jaw dropped open and I could not speak. (That was a first). My goal is to be to 250 by my birthday which is July 5th, I feel that it is very doable. I then put on a pair of jeans that I had bought over a year ago that did not fit once I got them home because they were not stretch jeans. They now are almost to big on me, and it appears that I may not have to buy tall pants anymore as these jeans are probably 2 inches to long. I now no longer have a tuppy to rest my arms on during church, such a wonderful feeling. My boss didnt recognize me when I went into work the other day, nor did my friends son. I love it when people dont know who I am. Gotta go for now take care, and God Bless everyone!!! Love, Lori

Congrats on your successes so far. That's great! I have a phobia about setting goals for myself tho.... your goal of 250 MAY be doable by the date you have in mind... but when I set goals like that sometimes I'm setting myself up to be DEVASTATED if I don't reach them. And sometimes I can DO EVERYTHING RIGHT, but my body just doesn't cooperate and I cannot reach the goal by that date. So, FOR ME, I'm better off setting goals that state, I will DO ---, ---, and --- until a certain date, not a goal that says I will BE --- by ---, ya know? good luck tho! And I hope it works out for you. Sally

With the goal that I sat I have decided that if I dont meet it that is fine, as long as I continue to lose or at least maintain, that is the most important. I am really working hard at not beating myself up over every aspect of my life. I know that I am a good woman, with a good heart. A woman that works hard and is willing to do what it takes to get the job done, no matter how long it takes or how many bumps in the road there are. Actually the biggest goals that I have been setting right now is to get my protein in. I find that to be the most difficult, but with each new day, the task becomes easier and easier. Love Lori
