North Platte Group Meeting

Well it is Friday afternoon I'd better get on the ball and let some of you know what we did at our support group on Tuesday Evening. We had 10 weight loss losers(don't take offense no pun intended). We lost a total of 857 pds. average of 85.7 pds.per person way to GO LOSERS. (again no pun intended). And we had 3 support people there for there special person and for the rest of us to. Due to unseen cir****tances our speaker had to postpone till next month. So they had to listen to me talk about "Life After Surgery." I hope it went well for them. One of our members had a accident last month and was hospitalize for a few days. He is Ray and all of our prayers are with him and his family he told us about his accident he is very lucky to be here with us. So please keep Ray in your thoughts. Well our next meeting will be week later on the 11th of July since the first Tuesday is on the 4th. of July. So remember don't over indulge but if you do and you gain you can blame (LOL).Well time to leave for now remember let's keep our support going for us and others. Until later jimmy

Hi There, You don't know me but I had lap band done in October of 05 and I am currently down 69 pounds. My question is this...My mom had lap band and she lives in Ogallala, she as been struggling with it, I was smooth sailing, but her on the other hand has had a rough start. i think that it would benefit her a great deal if she were to drive to North Platte for a group meeting, and maybe she could make a few friends as well. She had her surgery done in Mexico, which I feel that surgeon did a fantastic job, however i keep reminding her that I am younger and it is easier to bounce back. My parents own a restaurant and all their life they have had food around, now her whole life has changed and she just can not pick up food and pop it in her mouth like she used to be able to do. I think somedays it is really hard for her, I feel that she feels that she has lost a sense of heself, and also her best friends (food) that's what got us there in the first place. Could you please send me a list of your meetings, I think she would greatly benefit from going. Heck, when I am home from Lincoln maybe i will even attend with her. Thanks a Bunch! Hi Marci! Our meetings are the first Tuesday of every month but because the 4th of July fell on the first Tue. this month, we will be having this months meeting on the 11th. We would love to have you and your mother come! And I'm sure she would really benefit from the additional support of the group. Anissa
