Hi everyone-well I did it and am home from the hospital. According to Dr. Goering everything went picture perfect. Couldn't have asked for anything better he said. So got home yesterday and just adjusting, some pain, and can't tell if its gas or ifit is hunger. very strange feeling. But gas is gone today and i have had some soup and some fruit. before leaving the hospital i had roast beef and potatoes. not bad at all, in fact tasted pretty good. so now i have have to fix my own and just trying to figure things out. felt nauseas this morning but i don't think i had enough food to eat when i took the vicodin. feel better after eating. still have the drain and the only pain is in the left side incision. but otherwise-all the staff and the dr. at St. Frances medical ctr in GI were absolutely wonderful. Had better care there then when i was in New York City hospital. I know the patient ratio is different but here everyone was so friendly and compassionate and helpful. would highly recommend Dr. Goering and his staff to anyone. oh well time to rest, laura
