Obesity Goodbye Center

Has anyone from Nebraska ever used the Obesity Goodbye Center in TJ, MX? I have just started getting approved for a self pay with them and they are telling me 8000.00 for an all inclusive package, today I rec'd an e-mail with them telling me it would be 7500.00 if I did cash? This place looks really legitimate, however I am concerned. It would be GREAT to save fifty percent, but is this place safe. Are they more negotiable on the price? She told me that they have a 5 star hotel there? Any information would be appreciated. Please e-mail me at [email protected].

Hi Casey, Congratulations on your decision to have surgery. I haven't heard about the obesity goodbye center. Just make sure they have experienced surgeons and proper followup after surgery. It's not worth the discounted price if they are a new center with little experience. Good luck in your journey. Mona

Im not sure where but I belive there is a "Over the Border" forum someplace in OH where people discuss getting the surgery in Mexcio.. Best of luck..jeanb

I'm from Washington, KS which is about 90 mile from Lincoln and I actually get my fills from Dr. Hung in Lincoln. I had my surgery done at the Obesity Goodby Center with Dr. Verbonnen. I think my package was $7500 or somewhere right around there. I had to pay for my own flight, which I took out of Omaha, and it cost me around $225 round trip. They picked me up at the San Diego airport and took me and my hubby across the border and to the clinic for my pre-op tests. I met with all the drs and had my tests run. Then they took me to the Grand Hotel which is a 5 star hotel -and one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. My hubby and I had a wonderful dinner that evening in the hotel and the next morning they picked us up and took us to the surgical center. It was a wonderful center. It was small and I had one-on-one nursing care while there. I spent the night in the surgical center and then was discharged to go to the hotel. One of the patient coordinators came to the hospital to check on me that night and the next day and then the day after that I was taken back to the clinic to check my incisions and then I was off to San Diego and back on my way home. I went back to the clinic for 2 of my fills but then started going to Dr.Hung in Lincoln because it takes less time.
