I dont want to get on the scale....

Is that normal? I am 2 months post op ByPass and I have noticed weightloss of course. I JUST DONT WANT TO GET ON THAT DAMN SCALE... anyone else fearful? I sure hope someone else is freakin out about this like I am... please let me know K8de

Hi Katie, the scale is an intimidating thing. We are used to seeing the scale move higher instead of lower indicating we can't lose weight. You now have a powerful tool to lose weight. It is a check to see how we are doing. It might help you see it as a motivator when the scale moves to a lower number. Keep up the good work. Mona

I am 4 months post op. I get on the scale every day. I take my measurements once a week. That way I know that I am doing okay. There are some weeks that I don't lose anything, but then those are the weeks that I see the biggest loss in inches. Hazel

I think a scale can be deciving It is your friend when you lose pds. But when you go up it does freak you out. Remember it is a head game to. So stay in control I bet you are still losing inches. So have a nice week and stay cool. Until later jimmy
