Still waiting

Actually, things are moving along. The surgeon's office submitted the information to the insurance company last week for approval. It just seems like this is taking forever!!! Any guess how long it will take BCBS to respond? Janet

Hi Janet, It is so frustrating waiting for insurance companies to get things done. You need to give them more time. It took me about 3-6 weeks to get approved. If you haven' t heard anything in a month then call the insurance company. Usually it's the squeaky wheel that gets the oil. Good luck in your journey. Mona

I don't know about BCBS, but I had a rather 'weird' experience with United Healthcare. Lisa had submitted the forms, and we didn't hear anything for several weeks and so she called them. The ins co said, "oh yeah, that was approved 2 weeks ago" helloooooooo????? How were we supposed to know that when they never notified either me or the surgeon's office ????? That didn't happen with my husband... the ins co notified the doctors office right away. I think I'm just cursed. I hope you hear soon, but it would be a good idea to call and ask if you don't hear from them in 10 business days or so. GOOD LUCK Sally
