I was on the MN board also... I think it would be a great idea! And Wednesday or Thursday nights would work for me too. Weekends are always too busy during the summer.

Topic: RE: Exercise
In order to lose weight we have to restrict calories, in order to maintain, we have to exercise. By doing both together, we lose faster and develop great maintenance habits.
I work out 5 days a week at Merit Care. I also do Pilates at home and walk the dog. I too love being outdoors, but that is not always possible.
There is a group of WLS people who will be running/walking in the Fargo 5K. We will have the same shirts on, so we will be easy to spot. Anyone that would like to join us is more than welcome.

Kelly,
I must say you are my exercising inspiration!!
No kidding aside, I feel like everytime I get on a good exercise kick and am totally motivated to keep at it, I get sick or feel ill soon after and then my desire to make it a habit ends b/c of that...and then when I feel better again I basically have to start all over.
It just gets frustrating after awhile and you stop wanting to start over and over and over.
And then I hurt my knee so its making it hard to power walk or lightly jog. What I should be doing is elliptical or biking but with two young kids the eves go so icredibly fast as it is - there literally doesn't seem to be time or energy left.
I've been trying to climb the 3 flights of stairs in my work building 10x on my lunch break but its a start and stop habit...
But I think that has been my hugest problem to date. Not exercising nearly, or remotely enough.

Yes, Yes, Yes!!! I originally posed this question to Kelly via the MN board. Why did I never think to look at the ND board?? LoL.
I haven't gotten many nibbles on the MN side so I'm glad to see/hear there are more interested people!
I agree come summer time weekends will be hard to get committments out of people.
I think Wednesday or Thursday nights souund ok to me.
Do we have anyone else interested???

I would also be interested. There are so many things to discuss and these boards are helpful but only a part of a larger solution.

Anyone interested in meeting up once or twice a month on say a Saturday/Sunday for coffee and NON formal support?
Fargo, Moorhead or any surrounding areas would be welcome. It is up to each person on how far they want to drive.
I know there are a couple people who have said yes, just putting it out here to get more feed back.
Who needs support? Who needs Friends? Who needs coffee or other beverage ( not achol)?
I can always answer yes to all those.
