I think it is the 26th, but don't quote me on that. The Innovise website should have the information.

First off Welcome! Sending you well wishes that everything runs smooth.
You can not lose to much weight while on the pre-op diet. The insurance etc.. is going to go by your beginning numbers of pounds and BMI alone with other things you may have issues with. Follow what they want you to do and don't over stress on it. One of the things they are looking for is if your ready to take on this journey and are serious to the commitment. Doing this shows them you are indeed ready and serious.
You would not be asking for help through surgery if you could do it on your own, none of us would/could. It can be a long pre-journey but so well worth it in the end! Keep your chin up and nose to the grinding stone.
Another point while trying all these protein drinks, your taste is going to change after surgery and daily after that. So, don't over stock your pantry with what you like now LOl Have enough saved for right after surgery to get you by until you can feel p to going out shopping to get more.
My program did not require protein drinks, we used carnation instant breakfast drinks that had no sugar added (blue box) that and the milk gave enough protein to get us started. To this day I have yet to drink a protein drink. I have made them, sipped and tossed out. I do better putting my protein into foods and stirring it up.
Wishing you the best and keep us posted

Topic: Time to play the insurance game
Hi everyone! I'm fairly new to this site and so excited after reading all the cool posts! I'm into my 1st month of a 3 month insurance necessary diet, all being done through MedOne and Dr. Bruderer's office. Anyone else having to deal with United Healthcare/Medica insurance and all these headaches?? Right now, I'm just doing the "try this protein, don't like it? Try this protein" diet and keeping track of everything that goes in my mouth. Has anyone had any problems with losing too much weight during this preop dieting phase and so the insurance denies them? That's a huge fear of mine right now! Any other preop pointers? Judy said my surgery timeline should be around the end of October/beginning of November.

It's only a block north and on the same street as the Moxie Java we went to for our first Coffee Clutch.

If you are coming from Fargo on Main Ave and cross that lovely Veteran's Memorial Bridge and get into Moorhead, it is the first left and then it is on the right side of the street. Can see tables set outside...can't miss it.
(just drove by yesterday and saw where it was) : )
