Was a nice time. Great have more people join us. We had a couple rants and raves but held it together without getting kicked out of Starbucks, LOL
Whatever day works for most people, should be workable for me.
If Santa joins us, do we get to sit on his lap and put in our Christmas orders? LOL

Anyone else want to put in their 2 cents?  I would be open for the 17th.  Maybe we could get Santa to join us.

Had a great time last night. The only evenings that work out for me in Dec. to meet would be the 9th and 17th.  If these work out great and if not enjoy without me. My December schedule is very screwed up.  Also the Innovis group for December will be on the 13th (2nd Monday) instead of the 20th (3rd Monday).

I am glad I was able to join you again this time.  I always learn new things talking to everyone!  Was a very enjoyable time!

What a great time at coffee.  New folks to visit with, more lies to tell, etc.  I always learn more about us and our journeys after WLS.  Each person has their own path, but we all end up at the same place.

Hope we get together next month!

Hi Kelby,
Congratulations on your decision to change your life, and it will.  I had the surgery 6weeks ago today and am so happy with my decision.  The few pieces of advice that I have so far is really sit and listen to when your body is full. Even though the book says you can eat a certain amount of food you may be satisfied before you fini**** all.  I dont know about you but because I didn't listen to my body before the surgery is how I became so overweight.  The first time I got sick from essentially over eating and not listening to my body was from eating broccoli, I thought "are you kidding me, I'm sick from eating broccoli".  So eat slow and just try and listen to your body.

2nd don't kill yourself about the number on the scale, I was doing that.  the first week I lost 7.5lb, then 8 the next week , and then bam 3lbs, then it went to 1 1/2 and I thought "oh no, how could I be failing already, I'm exercising I'm eating what I'm supposed to, I'm drinking my protein"  and then this week I stepped on the scale and was down 4lbs.  I was all worked up for nothing. I hope you don't go through what I did but if you do just remember to take a deep breath and if you are following the program it will come offf, if you get side tracks figure out where and get back on track.
3rd Exercise, even when you don't want to you have to force yourself to.  Any chance you live on base?  some days I love to exercise and some days I really don't want to but am so happy once I'm done and proud that I did.
4th Go to support groups.  Did you know we have a support group here in town the 3rd Thursday of every even Month.  The group meets next on Dec 16th at the Minot public library.  When you walk in the front door to the library hang a left to the childrens area and Pam will be there to show you where the group meets.  If you don't want to go alone I would be happy to pick you up and bring you there.  On the off months I try to go to the Bismarck support groups, but I had my surgery at Medcenter One so I'm not sure when the St. Alexis support group is.  I have to admit though I probably wont go back to the Bismarck group unless the roads are clear.

Congratulations on making the decision to change your life.

It was good to see everyone again. I know I've been a slacker and hopefully that gets better after the baby is born.
