Topic: 2 Month Post-op Update w/ PIC!
Hey All!
I realized I hadn't post on the ND forum since surgery! As of today, since it's flippin' midnight I need to go to bed, I am 2 months post op from VSG. I'll tell you I've had my moments of asking myself if the surgery is even working... but then I forward and when I look back I can clearly see it is!!!
As of today I have lost 60lbs, 35 since surgery. At time I feel I'm loosing slower than others who started out at my weight, but I'm ok with that. I've said this on other forums that my mom had to remind me "Kelby, you didn't put your weight on over night, you can't expect it to come off that fast" She's right.
Eating is pretty easy for me. I try to avoid carbs like bread, pasta, rice.. I have eating the Delite crust pizza from Papa Murphy's, a toritlla shell, and part of a pita from PIta Pit. I can live with out them though.. I did try a bite of whole wheat toast and I'll ya what... THAT DID NOT SIT WELL. I also tried a little bite of a wheat thin bun and thought it was gross... Must be something with wheat.
Any ways.. Here is a comparison photo of myself preop and today.

Topic: RE: Thanks!
I apologize for being late, but at least I was there on the right day. Pam, the last time, I showed up a couple of days early. However, because I was late, we did not have a chance to listen to Kelly sing for us. I think the next session that will be a requirement.
Kelly is right, this is what it is about, sharing our experience, strength and hopes with each other. That is what helps us to grow on this life journey. Take care all.
Again, I am always open to exercising if anyone is looking for a partner. I do have a membership to Planet Fitness. I have acutally worked out there quite a bit until recently. Bad Boy, Bad Boy!!

Good coffee, good convos and good friends.
Pam, so glad you were able to join us and share some of your questions and ask things of us.
This is what it is all about. Learning as we begin and as we grow. The only difference is that after surgery we no longer grow in a bad way ( pound by pound) we grow in a way that makes our lives rich, rich in health and to be able to enjoy the beauty of life again!
Steve, you are always such a joy to have a round, you put smiles on peoples faces.
Steph you rock, sharing your medical back ground with people and being you!
Pam, always remember you can run but you can't hide from us- we will hunt you down in parking lots! LOL
Until next time... best of luck on those having surgery and thanks to all who help each of us daily in some way or another.

Just saw this today. Sorry, can't make it tonight. Made plans to help a friend move her business to a new location up here. Otherwise would have been great!

Topic: RE: Exercise
I was going about 5:00 AM but that really sucks. I don't like going after work either as it is so busy. What time do you guys mall walk?
I just need to get doing something and I know I will get back into a routine. I want to start getting ready for the Fargo Marathon (5 or 10 K) or a Marathon Relay.
