Hi again,
He is the only local ps that will do LBL s/p gastric bypass. Has tons of problems and ended up going to another local general surgeon to get cleared up. No f/u from his office after numerous notes sent b my other docs, very......disappointed. They did submit all the paperwork only panni was covered I paid 8900 out of pocket for the rest. buyer's remorse at this point.

I am seeing a wls Dr. in Fargo, I am going through merit care, Dr. monson.
Who are you seeing?
I have been through my dietians appts, three months worth, I have had the physical, the 7th I go to the physic exam, I also wsa told I needed a referral to a sleep apnea Dr, so I am waiting for that appt.

The 7th I go for my Phyc exam, one step closer.

I found the Fargo physician's make you jump through hoops and delays that your insurance company doesn't often require, and I found didn't add value (except cost) to the process. I spent all of last year researching this and was happy to have my procedure done in MN (I'm from Fargo). No regrets. I would recommend Park Rapids wholeheartedly. They are fabulous to work with and they treat you like a person instead of just a patient.

I helped my brother in law with his BCBSND, and he was a HMO where he had to designate his heath care location in advance. ND required that the surgery be done at a center of excellence. I found his policy was less restrictive than BCBSIL. I don't think you'll have problems, but make sure you know the Policy beforehand. You can get it off the BCBSND website. Just wanted to remind everyone about the First Saturday Support Group at Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield on Saturday May 5 at 10:30 am. We meet in the Fitch Quality Room on the lower level of the hospital. Signs will be posted. Everyone is welcome, pre-ops, post-ops. Lapbanders or RNY'ers. If you need support, please try to make it. We are trying to build the group. This is a patient-based support group so you don't have to be affiliated with any particular doctor. Hope to see many of you there. Thanks!

It was nice to get your reply, ther doesnt seem to many from ND.
Well I went to my seminar in Fargo last year.
I sent my paper work in to my WLS clinic and I have my last dietian appt. next week.
The gal from the WLS clinic called and said she went through my paper work and said I needed to make an appt. with the phyc. doctor and also need to have a physical done with my primary Dr., she also said I need a referral to see a sleep disorder clinic.
So now I am just waiting for the clinic to call with my appt. for the sleep appt., I already have my appt. with phyc. Dr. and my physical is already done.
Im not to sure what they are looking for with the phyc. eval.
I have a BMI between 37&38 , so I hope my insurance approves.
