We currently have bariatric surgeons, a plastic surgeon, a bariatric coordinator, a nutritionist, and a fitness instructor joining in for next year’s activities. BUT…..this is also your cruise VACATION, and a chance to meet, mingle and CELEBRATE with your fellow WLS’ers!!

Watch the board for more information and updates coming SOON!!
Check out my profile for pictures of MARINER OF THE SEAS from a cruise I did with my family in 12/04, and from just two weeks ago when I did an inspection tour for this year's CRUISE TO LOSE! Make sure you check out the pictures of the Royal Promenade, ROCK CLIMBING WALL(!!!!), 18-Hole Mini Golf Course, ICE SKATING RINK (again, !!!!!!) among other points of interest! The Royal Promenade has café’s and bistro’s, and Promenade Cabins overlooking the “main street” – these areas are actually “Inside cabins” retrofitted with a picture window overlooking the promenade! NO OTHER CRUISE LINE offers such a great, inexpensive alternative to what would otherwise be an “Inside”!! Each day there are various activities here, including parades, parties (70’s and 80’s parties, Mardi Gras, etc.), and while at sea, the shops along the mall are open for business!
Go to www.rubycruises.com to PRE-REGISTER – upper right hand corner. If you have any questions, you may PM me here, email me at [email protected], or call me TOLL FREE at 866-685-RUBY (7829).
~ Terri - Come on and CRUISE TO LOSE with us!
I had my surgery on May 16 in Merit Care. I did not have Dr. Howell, I had Dr. Garcia, but I am sure that Dr. Howell is a great doctor. I know he has done many, many of these surgeries over the years. Fears of surgery are normal...we all have them...so don't feel bad that you are having these feelings. Just don't give up...you are on your way to a whole new life...a better one by far. I feel better now than I have felt in many year....my health has improved so greatly it's unbelievable. It is indeed the best decision I have ever made...to have this surgery. As for the Merit Care stay, I don't have any complaints. I ended up being there for six days, and found everyone to be supportive and helpful. Hope this will help you...your time is getting close now...and soon you will be on the way to a better life... I don't know where you are from, but if you are in the Valley City area, we are starting a WLS support group, the first meeting is to be August 21, (Tues) at 7:30 PM in the Mercy Hospital Educational Building. You may not feel up to attending that meeting, but if you are interested, send your email address to me and I will inform you of future meetings. OK? Good luck to you on the 7th....soon you will be on the loser bench with us !!!
