CONGRATS on your surgery....I'm just starting my 2 week pre-op diet and get to drink shakes for 2 meals a day...i really don't know sweets much at all which makes me want to throw up when i drink the shakes...I plan to try a lot of broth and eggs when i hit the mushy stage...I also plan on getting the magic bullet so that i can process some better tasting food (chicken, fish and pork chops)
Good luck on your recovery

I'm sure you've already had this surgery by now, but if you have not, I'd say run!! Run far and fast! He did my tummy tuck 2 years ago, and I have had nothing but trouble...even after 2 years! It's been horrible. I know I am not the only one who feels like, but this is still a small town and no one wants to say or do anything, especially attornies.
If you have had your surgery, I hope all is well with you. If it has not turned out well, I'd be interested in hearing from you.
Take Care!

Hello all I'am brand new to the site here and just had lap band surgery on tuesday. I feel pretty good right now, just want food. I am tried of the sweet stuff the drinks are all sweet along with yogurt & such. I got a one egg pan today at Walmart after walking at he Home & Garden show for a couple of hours so i am going to try a scrambled egg tommorrow. Any insight on what to eat would be greatly appreactied. This was the part I was worried about My dh is so supportive but i can't stop him & the 4 youngins from eating.

YIPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Topic: RE: Stricture
Hi I am truly so sorry you are having to go through this. I remember how misserable I was. I ended up having an EGD which was painless and quick procedure. I had a stricture and a small ulcer both were fixed during the EGD and when I woke up I had no pain, was released after 1/2 hour or so to let some of the anesthesia wear off ( I was put to sleep) Anyway, I was put on Protonix and that didn't seem to help much. It was about at my 3rd-4th month I felt better. It went away on it's own just like my GB surgeon told me it would. I have had almost no problems, I will get it once in a while like if I am sick or what not. But for the most part I think it just takes time, one of those side effects some of us get. I would get your stricture checked out though. And make sure they're carefull as to not open the stricture to much or it could reverse the WLS surgery. I hope this helps. If you have other questions I will try to help answer. Keep me posted, I'll keep you in my prayers.

Hi! What ended up happening? I'm nearly 6 weeks post-op and suddently can't do anything anymore. My saliva is foamy all the time, making me nauseous/vomit, I went from eating applesauce, yogur****ermelon, pureed carrots, and oatmeal to ONLY water, applesauce and a TINY bit of yogurt. They want to do an endoscopy asap. Help??! :)
