I have been on vaca in California for a few days so I couldn't reply.

Getting stuck is scary the first time.  I have been stuck about 5 times.  It really hurts.  After an episode, I try to limit what I eat to liquids or mushies.  I agree you have been awesome not to have had this icky thing before.

I don't have any suggestions for your dogs.  I think I would use a leash also just to make sure.

Sounds like you are doing well with the band.  After surgery you get swelling due to the trauma and that causes restriction.  As the tissue recovers you can lose that good restriction.  I think you are right that you need a fill.  What size band do you have?

I just had a tweak to mine and I am not noticing any difference.  Hopefully this will change.

Good for you in getting back to exercising.  It is the major key to my losing weight at the rate I want to.

I had Dr. Garcia too and I have to agree with Kelly that I trust that he's very competent and takes the best care with his patients, but odd is probably a good word for the office visits. He's really kind though and you'd be in good hands.

Hey Lori

Good to meet you the other night at support group. Wow that you have been so careful not to get things stuck before now. Glad to hear things have settled down again.

Congrats on finally getting the move under way!  The country always has an appeal, it lasts for me like a couple hrs. I need to be close to town! LOL

Wild animals can be a problem, I wouldn't let my dog outside with out a leash on, that way I can pull them into safety if something should be sneaking up on them.

Glad the scale is moving a bit for you, its a wonder what a lil exercise can do for a person. Having plans to hit the gym once your settled in is wonderful!
Life is all about having plans.

Keep us posted on how things go

Hi gang!

I've been a little busy lately, still unpacking boxes and cleaning up the old house. We are loving our new home! But we also have some new challenges, as we are now out in the country a bit and have to keep watch on our little dogs, to make sure the coyotes or whatever don't get them when they go outside to potty!  And the weather is getting colder!  Have to find some kind of a solution before it gets to freezing level. Any suggestions?

My weight has dropped a few since I have been getting my exercise hauling boxes and all the last month. I am going for a fill on the 13th, and think that may help. It is weird, I had great restriction when I first had my surgery, now my stomach growls quite often. I'm thinking my swelling finally went down all the way and I have a need for a bigger fill!  I'm hoping anyway.  And once the houses are taken care of, I'm going back to exercise classes.

Well, guess I had better get moving, got places to go, things to do!  Hope all is going well with all of you!

Hugs Lori!
I so know where you were. I live in that world so often. I just went through a spell off it feeling like my pills were sitting in my throat all night, then this morning I had to take more and I ate 1/2 a banana and it still felt like it was all sitting right there. For lunch today I took tom soup, I was not chancing any mishaps LOL. Soup went fine. This eve I had a frozen Michelina's Salisbury steak and mashed potatoes.. it was fine. I hope this isn't the same story tomorrow.

I wish you the best and think of you a lot. If you need anything give me a shout on here. I will help how ever I can
Hugs,
Kelly/tink

From my understanding they request you have no drinks for the first is it 9 months to one yr later. It does knock ya on your arse a lot faster then prior to surgery, be careful.
As far as Garcia goes, he is very good at what he does. I have total trust in him and he has done 2 surgeries on me this far. He always says "Don't worry will take care of you" and he always did.
His bed side manner is on the odd side, When I give answers to his questions there is a barrier of him not understanding me or vice versa LOL
Have faith in him and enjoy the ride!
