I had Dr. Helbling, was very happy with him. My port is tipped the PA says all Dr. Helbling's are positioned this way. It does not make for easy fills, but my friend had Dr. Schmit and he is having the same issue with the way the port is positioned. All in All, I'd recommend Dr. Helbling!

I heard you guys had some freezing rain this morning   that really sucks.  I wussed out & stayed home today (took PTO) & won't be going in tomorrow either - just one appt that I could reschedule & I work that job for FREE for experience.

Great new pic Kelly!!!  I can't wait to start wearing some more form fitting clothes again.  They're all there, in my closet, just calling my name . . .

I just had a check up with Howell and he scheduled another one for 6 months. I think he is still just very part time.

Anybody in eastern north dakota check out the weather forecast lately???  I'm in GF.  I drive to Thief River Falls on Mondays (yes, 110 miles roundtrip!) & to the Air Force base on Tuesdays, 55 miles roundtrip. 

SNOW IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ACROSS EASTERN NORTH DAKOTA AND NORTHWESTERN MINNESOTA LATE SUNDAY NIGHT AND CONTINUE THROUGH THE DAY MONDAY. DURING MONDAY NIGHT... NORTH WINDS SHOULD INCREASE TO 30 TO 40 MPH... WITH WIND GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH POSSIBLE. A ROUND OF HEAVY SNOW IS EXPECTED TO ACCOMPANY THE INCREASE IN WINDS. THIS COMBINATION SHOULD RESULT IN BLIZZARD CONDITIONS WITH SURFACE VISIBILITIES BEING REDUCED TO NEAR ZERO FOR EXTENDED PERIODS FROM MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT. WIND CHILLS TUESDAY NIGHT ARE EXPECTED TO FALL TO DANGEROUS LEVELS OF 30 BELOW TO 35 BELOW.

SNOWFALL AMOUNTS MAY RANGE FROM AROUND 3 INCHES IN THE NORTHERN DEVILS LAKE BASIN TO LOCALIZED STORM TOTALS AS MUCH AS 20 INCHES POSSIBLE IN PORTIONS OF NORTHERN MINNESOTA. THE MAJORITY OF THE AREA SHOULD SEE SNOWFALL TOTALS OF 8 TO 12 INCHES.

Dr. Fabian's the first surgeon I went to.  He agreed to do the DS, which he learned on fellowship, but BCBS wouldn't pay for it.  Rather than fight BCBS (few reasons) & wanting to have a surgeon with more experience with the DS, I decided to go with another surgeon.

Dr. Fabian took A LOT of time talking with me &, while he had to leave for a short while due to the fact that he had other patients scheduled, he came back DURING HIS LUNCHTIME to continue talking with me.  He spent nearly an hour with me & almost certainly still got paid his regular consult fee instead of the 3x longer that he actually spent with me.

I just wanted to put that out there in support of the fact that he is clearly patient-oriented.  I just decided to go with someone else for other reasons.
