Topic: RE: From MN noticed alot of members here had Dr. Smith!
Hi Robin,
I had surgery with Dr. Smith in September (and my hubby did in November of 2004, too!) I couldn't be happier with him and the staff in Park Rapids. If you have any specific questions, send me a message or ask here...there are a lot of us from Fargo that had Dr. Smith.
Good luck to you!

Hello everyone I've been checking out this site for the past couple months. Haven't seen many with Dr. Smith as their doctor on the MN boards. Just wanted to say hi! Looking for some input on what your hospital visit and surgery was like in Park Rapids. I had my paperwork sent to my insurance last week hope I hear something this week. I have a BMI over 40 and problems with back, leg and feet pain. Anyways looking forward to getting approved and moving on in my journey. Looking to find a few friends here on the OH board! Anyone going to be having surgery in the next month or so???? Oh by the way I'm from Bemidji!

Here is the link for the high protein hot chocolate. It has 70-80 calories per drink and 15 grams of protein if mixed with water. It comes in 7 different flavors, but I have only tried the plain hot chocolate because they didn't have the other flavors when I ordered it a year ago.
Good seeing everybody this month. Lets have a great turn out next month also!!!

Topic: RE: Looking into band surgery,
Hello Cal,
Find some good sites and read, read, read, read. Then when you think you have read enough, read some more! The more informed you are the easier it will be for you to make your choices in life. Yes, the choice is totally up to you and what you will feel comfortable with.
There are many different stories out there and some will make you cringe, that is ok. You will need to hear the good/bad/ugly. It is part of life. If life were a bed of roses none of us would need any type of surgery.
I have no information to share with you. I had the RYN because that is what I felt I needed, it was a prefect fit for my life style and habits.
Wishing you the best of luck in every choice you make!

Topic: RE: Innovis group
Hi Jade-
It is from 6-7:30 and it is completely free. It is in the basement, so when you get to Innovis, go down 1 level and we meet in one of the conference rooms down there.
Everyone ranges from fresh out of surgery to many years out, and they all have great experiences to share. We have both RYN patients as well as a few band patients.
We'd love to have you join us!
Hope all is going well for you--let me know if you have more questions.

Topic: RE: Innovis group
I'm very interested in attending the support group at Innovis. This will be my first meeting. What time is it at? I usually have to work Monday's but since I am off this coming on I thought the meeting would be a good thing to check out. Does it cost? If so, how much?
Thanks Jade
Thanks Jade

I hope so, as I was planning on attending! I think that Kathy usually sends out reminders the weekend before. I haven't heard anything different, so if all else fails, I'll be there!! :)
