Am I losing too slow?
I am 7 & 1/2 weeks out from my RNY surgery. I have had lots of difficulty with nausea, taking vitamins and tolerating food. Things are starting to get better. I still am not able to eat as much or as often as I should be able to by now. I am a little discouraged by the fact that the weight doesn't seem to be coming off very fast. I did lose 50 pounds preparing for surgery but have only lost 24 in the past 7 & 1/2 weeks. Am I losing too slowly?
When was the last time in your life that you lost 24 pounds in 7.5 weeks???? Never?
Those are wonderful numbers. Each person loses at a different rate. Be prepared for a stall around the corner and then remember how well you have done this far. I know it gets frustrating each and every day. When I was not losing pounds -I was losing inches. My longest stall was almost 2 months long,I thought oh heck I am done,It didn't work etc.. then the scale started moving again. Keep up the positive attitude and good work. Take your measurements and compare them to the past ones ( I do this monthly). Never compare yourself to others loses, you will only get discouraged.
Best of luck,keep us posted!

I agree with Kelly. Your body will release it's fat stores in good time. Just keep eating healthy, get some exercise (or step it up a notch if you already do) & you will be fine.
From 6.5 weeks out to now (10 weeks), I've been averaging about 2 pounds/week. I also wi**** was faster & there's a little evil voice in my head that's saying I just won't be one of those "good losers" in the long-run. We have to just take a deep breath & know that our bodies will release it when it's darn good & ready. It is about inches too, like Kelly said.
