Tomorrow

Tomorrow is my big day! I am nervous and I am excited. I feel good right now and I know I won't feel this good again for a while afterwards, but I will feel even better soon. I am not real sure what I weigh right now as the scales seem to differ from place to place, but my bathroom scale this morning said 248. My blood pressure is a little high it was 143/87 last night, and I actually had a low blood sugar about midnight. My goals for WLS are fairly straight forward, 1) to control my diabetes and not experience any negative side effects from it for many years to come. 2) To be able to keep up with and have the energy to play with and enjoy my 7 year old twin boys. 3) Participate in a 5K run and not walk. 4) (My vanity goal) inseam equal to or greater than waist. I do not yet know my surgery time or if Kim will be out of jury duty. My dad will be taking me to Park Rapids if Kim cannot. I will find out this information this afternoon and will post it on the boards. I have had several offers from friends and family to get me there and tend to me, all the way from people at work to my 90 year old great uncle Les, and not to mention several beautiful ladies from the boards. I am expecting to be in the hospital 3- 4 days; I know that I will try to enjoy my stay as much as possible. I have never been hospitalized over night; I have spent many hours in a hospital during my 20 years as an EMT but never much as a patient. I will be alone between my surgery and my discharge; mainly because of the distance 150 miles and price of gas $3.19, so I hope to hear from you during my stay. Thanks to all of you for your loving kindness and support. Brian
