I will try to  make it towards the end.  I don't know how long my appointment will take.  If I can't, want to meet somewhere near there?  I'd love to see you again.

I have never had to have a root canal yet so I can't advise anything here. I hope Sparkles begins to feel better soon. I know what it is like to have to put off going to the vet for the pets. It really does suck.

My hubby's interviews seemed to go very well today in New mexico. He is heading back home tomorrow and we should be hearing from the company in the next few days with whatever it is that they will offer. He also has an interview more locally but he and I both really would like to live in NM.

I am hosting a support group meeting this coming Saturday and welcome anyone who would like to come to join us. It doesn't matter where you are in your journey or what type of surgery. The meeting starts at 10 and runs for two hours. Some people come for part of the meeting and some stay for the whole thing. You are welcome to do whatever works best for you. The meeting is held at the American Cancer Society Conference Center in Raleigh. For details, please go to this link and rsvp.

I hope to you soon!

I checked the support group directory and found one listing for the Charlotte area. Here is the link to that support group.

Re: your regain, I think you are on the right track. Awareness and accountability go a long way towards helping with long term weight management. The other major supports for long term weight management are exercise and support groups, so I think you are headed in the right direction. If you haven't been exercising, you might try to start even if it's just with a 10 min walk each day. It is really true that good decisions beget more good decisions. You are likely to find that you will tend to make better decisions when you are aware of what you are doing and each good decision reinforces the pattern. Keep up the good work.

Wishing you all the best,

Hi all,

Thanks for your great advice about shrugs.  I will definitely look into it.  Today, I have to cancel Sparkles tests for tomorrow.  We just don't have the bucks.  Tomorrow, however, I have to have two root canals done!  Yikes.  Anyone have them before? Can you warn me about anything???

I had my fitting yesterday for my dress.  It cost $30 for one tiny alteration!!  Glad weddings don't happen all the time for us.  Just one more to get married off.

A friend blessed us yesterday.  Loaned us two chairs, and end table and lamp and a folding table!  Now at least we have something in the house!

Hope your day goes well!
