Hi,

I can't apologize for everyone but I am sorry you met with hostility.  Maybe they all had PMS.  Hard to say.  Please don't leave.  Not all of us are a pain in the ars.  If you want, you can message me and I will try my best to answer your question.

Topic: Why are some postop wls people so rude?
I have been on this site for like a week or so and OMG the rudeness of some of the postop WLS people surprises the heck out of me. I asked a simple question in the main forum and I get my head taken off. I get told to google it or to do my own research which i have and I do believe i said that but I was a bit confused about some of the wording. I wont name names but this person and a few of her buddies just tore into me when I responded with "Please no need to get hostile, it was only a question." I took the post down because it was causing issues. I just want to know why these people feel the need to be so rude when some others are just beginning their journey or are part way there in their journey. I am so tempted to just close my account and be done with it. I have basically been doing this on my own with some support from others and of course my overly confused hubby, it would be nice to get some acceptance for once. I know i should have a thick skin but dang it is ridiculous. SOrry for the rant, was just in a pizzy mood I guess.

Hi Bonnie, I was about 315 but haven't lost as much as you have pre-surgery. That's great! I'm having my Roux en Y on Friday, June 3rd. If you have any questions after that ask me. This place is a wonderful source for info, glad you found it.

I wish you a speedy approval!

Hi Paula,

You were missed yesterday and we hope we'll see you soon. I know that I'm responding late, but you might want to check out the ArtSplosure in Raleigh that has plenty of free things to enjoy.

Have a great day,

Maggie,

I'm delighted that you and your husband were able to come yesterday. I understand what you mean about becoming more physically active. Believe me when I say that my natural inclination really does lean towards more sedentary enjoyments. That said, I LOVE to DANCE. I'll never be invited to "Dancing with the Stars", but have found that I just love to move to the beat of the music and have found that ZUMBA classes are so much fun. The great part about those classes is that there are so many people there of so many different sizes and levels of experience that I feel absolutely at home. But that's just me. If you look, you will find 'something' that you both can and like to do. In the meantime, try to get yourself a pedometer and see what your current level of 'activity' is. From there, you can start to increase the amount you move a few hundred steps at a time until you work up to the recommended 10K per day. I'll bet you'll be surprised at just how quickly you can rack up those 10K steps.

I'm looking forward to seeing less of you soon,

Barbara

Maggie,
I was glad that you were there yesterday and I hope you will continue to attend. Ongoing support is very important and I believe it makes a huge difference in how successful we continue to be. Sorry I am leaving the group because the drive from NM will be a bit too far. But I know you will get and then later be able to give much to those still there and that will join later on. I wish you success and good fortune.

Hi all,

Sorry I missed the meeting but I was so tired after the appointment, I just went home.  I will try to get to the shopping meetup since it is right before our trip to CA.  If we don't have our stuff back by then, I will need to get shoes and a purse.

Today is going to be warm and will probably hang out in cool places.  There has to be some free stuff to do on Sundays.  Any suggestions?
