Hi all,
Today is a picnic with family then out to the American Celebration in Cary. Lots of wonderful dancing and seeing old friends again. Other than that, knitting!
You?

It isnt the surgeons office it is my normal PCM that is dicking me around with the having to wait two weeks. WOMACK is another one I could slap because they said two weeks as well and I found out today that they all went on vacation two days AFTER I put in my request and they will not be bac****il NEXT wednesday. No I am sticking with this surgeon because he has a good track record. I guess I made it sound like it is the surgeons office's fault but in reality it isnt. THey just have to have those records before they can proceed, more so for safety and so I don't have to go threough all those tests again and get set back further.

Checking in. I started my high protein lowcarb diet today. This is the part of the phase I am not looking forward to. But I found some great protein options without the massive carbs and they actually taste good. I can continue searing and broiling my meats so that is a plus. My doc told me to take 4 slices (equals about 4 oz) of smoked DELI turkey and wrap them around raw spinach and then dip that "wrap" in low fat or ff creamy ranch dressing, do not soak it but just dip it. It is good, almost too good IMHO. LOL

My doc told me it was very important to get up at least 10 minutes of every hour around the house to avoid blood clots. I had my surgery in winter so he said go to the mall and walk around. The more you are up and about, the better you will feel.
Topic: Hi all...just checking in...
It has now been 3 years, 3 months and 9 days since my gastric bypass. Sorry for being away so long. I started out at 328 lbs and got down to 204. Last year i gained 25 lbs and got into a panic attack and got back on the band wagon and lost it all. Right now I fluctuate between 203 and 208. I need to lose about 50 more lbs and am thinking of seeing a counsel for my mental block. I have not been under 200 lbs for over 23 years and when i get close to that point, i set myself up for failure and refuse to let myself get there. I have given myself until the end of August (when my kid goes off to grad school) to get under 200 or get into counseling. Sorry I have been away so long but I have missed all my OH friends. If any of you are on facebook and want to friend me i am Pamela Figiel Tokarz. Love to you all and again thanks for all the support over the years. I will try to be more diligent on signing in.
