Actually I will still be here but will be in Virginia Beach seeing my neice and great nephew while they are out here with Nephew in law for a training class. I have been trying to fit family in wherever I can before I go. I went to myrtle beach this past weekend to visit Aunt and cousins. And while I am thinking about it, the OH Event is actually in New Orleans not Houston. I am planning to go to that one because I can't make it to the one in Seattle after all. I should start making my arrangments in early August if you want to bunk with me. That will be September 9th and 10th for that event. I will go ahead and fly in and stay the night of the 9th and the tenth and do some sight seeing on Sunday before flying home Sunday night on a redeye.

Wow, 97 today!  I hope you all can stay cool.  I may be in an empty house but at least I have AC.  Of course when the electric bill comes, I may think otherwise lol.

Today is just a few errands.  I can't be on line long because we are on limited internet so it will be a no chat day for the most part.

What are your plans?

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Jenny,

So sorry to hear that you had such a rough start, but I'm glad to hear that you are on the mend and finally starting to feel better.  While I know it was are tough way to start, I'll bet that in a year you'll be absolutely delighted that you did this and it will all be a dim memory.

Wishing you continued success and good health,

Hi Bonnie,

The changes you are talking about don't happen to all of us, but it's not uncommon. It really depends on how you viewed yourself before and how you view yourself now and as you move forward in this life-changing journey. It can cause some discomfort for some friends and family as you start to see yourself in a different light and expect more out of life, including respect for yourself and from those around you. This new found since of self can be unsettling to some. Some relationships that weren't on very solid ground to start with can suffer and may not even make it through the transitions, but those that are solid seem to grow even stronger.

Enjoy finding the new you that you discover through this journey!

So glad to see you back!  I've been wondering what had happened to you.  Sorry to hear about all the complications but glad to hear that you're feeling better.

Wonder where the ulcers came from if they weren't there before and you didn't do anything to cause them.  Just curious.

Congrats on the 36lbs!

Glad to hear that you had such a nice trip. I'm hoping to see some lovely photos soon ;-)

I've spend the day running around like a chicken without a head.... Dr's appointments, chasing down insurance authorizations, baking cookies, gardening, taking care of volunteer work, just to name a few... Also getting ready for a trip to the beach and taking care of continuing ed obligations to keep my broker's license in force.

I'm glad to hear that you are getting all of your ducks in a row. It must be soooo exciting! I know that you'll miss Terry, but I'm sure you two will be together soon. Are you planning to fly out or will you be driving to NM... Forgive me if you said already and I missed it. Since you won't be following for a couple of weeks is there any chance we'll see you one last time? I'm missing you already sweetie.

Hoping you have a great move and really enjoy your new home.

Hugs,

Topic: I'm finally back.
Hey guys,

I have not been around much.  I had my rny May 2nd and went home the 4th.  I did well for the first week, but things went downhill really quiickly after that.  I was readmitted to the hospital May 24th and diagnosed with two bleeding ulcers where they attached my stoma to the small intestines.  It definitely was not there when tthey completed the surgery and the docs said it wasn't anything I did either.  I was in the hospital for 8 days and am finally feeling much, much better.  I actually feel human now.  I am home on TPN ( liquid iv nutrition) and will be on t for a while.

Even with all of the complications I would have the surgery again.  I have already lost 36 pounds since I started this process.  I was so dehydrated and malnourished so I have gained some of the weight back, but am not worried about it.  I am just glad to feel better.

Just got a call about the cardiotest aka stresstest. It will be June 22. So I might have to wait until beginning of August to have my surgery done UNLESS I can talk to the bride and ask her to just let me not have to walk. THat would be good too. She is understanding and knows how long I have been waiting so she will probably let me off easy LOL.
So PLEASE cross your fingers and pray I get to where I need to be to get this done.
