Hi all,
Well, I've decided I'm not going to do this any more. I'm not benefitting from it and I guess you aren't either. That's ok. So, I will see you around the board here and there. Have a great day.

Topic: Getting Closer to a surgery date
I started this process in November 2010 weighing in a whopping 319.2lbs. The heaviest I have ever been in my life. I asked my pcp to refer me to the program to help me gain a healthier life. I have really put all my efforts in doing what the program needed me to do.
It hasn't been easy, but what is.. I started out not being able to walk 10 minutes without huffing and puffing. I had trouble bending over to tie on my shoes, cutting my toenails and even shaving my legs. As the months went by with weighing in, I started seeing the results. I can walk 30-45min without feeling like I'm gonna pass out. I can paint my toenails and shave my legs. Well I can just imagine what I can accomplish being 100lbs lighter. I just got the call yesterday saying I was approved for surgery and a call today that I will be called for the consult meeting with the surgeon. Thanks for letting me rant, it's just really sinking in that it is really gonna happen for me...

Check out www.bariatricfoodie.com. Nik has some amazing recipes on there. I have tried two of the spaghetti squash recipes and they were really good. But not gunna try anymore until after I have my surgery. LOL.

YOu might want to call them and ask them if they are going to get the paperwork or if you have to. I kind of went through this and had to go after the records myself. Just be sure that THEY are getting them and not expecting you to.

Hugs and Kisses to all I am so caught up in life ,home, and family.
I am feeling great but having a hard time getting calories in I feel if I eat any more chicken I am going to cluck.
Food is becoming boring as hell and since I hardly ever feel hunger I know I have to eat.
One thing I have been doing is having a couple of lean meals from the frozen section.I always look for low carbs low sodium and protien.
There have been some changes with some foods I can now eat.
I am able to eat two eggs scrambled with cheese this is my favorie breakfast for now.
I am also able to eat a small amount of pasta and rice when I say small I am talking 1/4 cup.
I do not weigh because of my lymphadema but I know I am going down when my clothes get baggy.
I have to really focas on eatting and when I slowly get my calories in I feel great.
Still cant handle sweet things which is a blessing for me from how I used to crave them so bad.
As for the extra skin it is hanging like crazy but thanks to compression capries and my stockings it helps put everything in order.
I got a brand new cpap that is no larger than a alarm clock it is so cool it even has an SD data card in it.
I sleep so good at night and feel so rested in the morning!
As for my brother he is still on the list to have a kidney and liver transplant which will be done at the same time.
My brother looks so bad and all I can do is be supportive emotinally to him and his family.
Mom is doing good no major changes except I am seeing episodes of dementia.
My dear friend Becky who just turned 79 is having health problems with her neck and arm.
Yesterday I saw her at HT and she asked me if I would take her to the neroligist in July.
She said she needed me because she knows I will ask questions and explain things to her.
This made me feel good about her asking me and knowing how much more comfortable with me helping her and explaing medical stuff to her.
Lee and I are doing good we planted lots of roses and gardenias this spring in the front of the house the plants are doing great except for the darn deer who love to eat roses.
Doing research on keeping the deer away from my roses.
My hours at work have encreased which is always good and I am very happy with my job.
So any food ideas please send this way.
Annie

Thank you for the warm welcome! I have been doing lots of reading still, and am waiting on a call back from the surgeons office to do my first meeting. It's been a week since I attended the infosession, and they said it could be up to 2 weeks before they call back. I turned in the paperwork, so I assume they're getting info from my family dr, etc in the meantime.
I'm ok with the vitamins! I'm on a lot already, so adding a few more won't hurt. I have a few friends who have gone through this process, and they have been extremely helpful and supportive so far in helping me make a decision.
I'm excited to move forward!! Good luck on getting your surgery date!

Topic: Lonely Thursday Roll Call
Hi all,
Had another round with the movers yesterday. Stubborn they are and I am so frustrated! I need a distraction of some sort. Something that doesn't cost money. I have beaten down the trails around here hoping that walking in nature would help. It does a little. Have you ever been lonely and know all you have to do is make a call or go to a Mall or just get out but you don't? That's me these days. Nothing new and I know things will get better. ARGHHHHH!
Today.... well, who knows. Hope yours turns out fab!
