I was at WOMACK and they had a lot of requirements then I got transferred out because the surgeon that was to do my surgery went to another hospital. I got transferred and guess what? MORE tests, more classes, more research. I have not been approved yet because my surgeons office is waiting on ONE test result. Should hear something this week though as to if they are submitting paperwork or if there is something else that needs done.

Get more opinions, call Duke and ask what their requirements are. Ok the doctor told your husband 10 lbs yet the PA said 30 lbs? Sounds liek there is not a great amount of communication going on there.  I would ask the PA why they say that number when the doctor is saying 10 and ask the doctor why he/she is saying 10 when the PA is saying 30. Cover your bases.

HOTTER than a JuneBug in heat out there. Poor hubby has problems with the mower and I had to go fix it. He came in and was covered in sweat and smelly ewwwwwwwwwwww. I have to get my kitchen cleaned up, I left it a mess last night and gah I thought Mary Poppins would stop by and clean it for me, no such luck. Basically gunna be a housework type of day and possibly week. I am getting antsy and wanting to hear something soon about my YEA or NAY letter. SAo I think I will go back through and "spring" clean AGAIN and see if there is anything i forgot that needs to be rehomed. LOL Did it twice already but a third time wont hurt.

This question has been posed several times on the boards. You are not alone. WHat I would suggest is before it gets too bad, go see a therapist. Get back on the depression meds too. I can not say everyone is the same in the fact of depression BUT I do think that everyone goes through bouts from time to time. We can not all be happy go lucky all the time nor should we be expected to. But in saying that, I would make an appointment to see a therapist and discuss the feelings and the depression. You might have the bariatric blues or buyers remorse or both going on.

I got to go pay my rent, car insurance and take my son some lunch. I think that's about it. It's already hot today. I am 6 years out and still to this day can't get in 64oz. of liquids a day. Seems like I have a water bottle in my hand all the time. Gotta do it. Have a good day to all.

Hi all,

Today I have a long list of places to go.  I have to recheck on a couple job sites and get with the Vet Rep and OVR.  Get some meds refilled and that's about it.  This will be a productive day.

I have a good friend who is very short, petite and is covered with tatoos.  She is an awesome singer and plays a mean flute and whistle.  Her group is called Fieldstone.  They sing a mix of blues, jazz and Irish music.  I don't know you but to me, you are just fine.

I don't know if I was on a roller coaster or a balloon ride. I've been so high on this surgery for so long. Everything went well physically, left the hostpital in one day, recovery seemed pretty good. So I ran into a stall but I saw that coming. What I didn't see coming was the depression and it wacked me upside the head and put me out for a few weeks.

This happen to others?

I think that while I was trying to keep up with 64 oz of this and extra vitamins and no calcium when you take the iron and no drinking before or after eating and trying to get to work and, and, and I put my depression meds on a back burner and they jumped off that hot burner and bit me on the butt while I was making a protein shake! Nose dive time. I missed work, curled in a ball, got me some major anxiety and a ton of sleep.

So now I'm trying to even things out - from the mania of getting this surgery to the nose dive of depression I gotta find a middle again.

I know so many of you have been here so I'm going to start by re reading many of your posts. Lots of wisdom on this site. I can read a little a day, exersize a little a day, eat a little a day, work a little a day and even myself out. Thanks ahead of time for any well wishes or positive thoughts being sent my way. I can use 'em.

Thanks OH for being there.

I don't have any friends. Women for some reason don't like me. People look at me and judge me real bad. I have tattoos and keep my weight around 105. I have got called a crack head so many times. I am a nice person but people don't want to give me the time of day. Oh well their loss.

yes, my understanding is you would have to do their classes because they want to make sure you are prepared for the surgery and they do not know what was taught to you in the other class!!

Sorry.

It doesn't hurt to call and talk to them but I do know a few people on the NC forum that have had to wait a long time to get surgery at Duke
