Went to then $ store. Got plastic forks. I hate washing dishes. Went to see my sister. Now I am home cooling it. Have a good day all. Be blessed.

Well our day is chalk full of stuff.

DH's neice is getting married this eve at 6ish.
We went to brunch this mornings. Have to be over at the church at 4pm for family pictures (GODS I hate wearing dresses). THen the wedding at 6ish, then back down to DH's mom's house for the reception. THen back here roguhly around 8ish because he has to get ready for work (midnight shift at the base.)

I will probably crash early tonight and get started back on my house tomorrow and Monday. My oldest sister (yes the one who said she was against me having this surgery then hours later calling me back and saying she was just scared and hoped I was making the right decision) is coming for a visit on her way to Texas. SO I am trying to get it less cluttered in here for that and also because I want things as easy on the DH for cleanup once I have my surgery.

I share your frustration.  I have been looking for over a year.  I signed up with a temp agency and get called occasionally from them to fill in every now and then, maybe doing something like that would help.

Sorry you have to pay storage for another month, hopefully it will be the last month.

Not much going on here today. Need to clean house and stay out of this ungodly heat. I'm ready for a good rainstorm.

I had my sleep doc appointment yesterday. I do an at home sleep test next Wednesday.  One more thing I can check off getting me closer to my surgery. I am so ready to get to the next stage.

How is everyone else this Saturday?

When did you have your surgery??? ITs very important to be eating a minimus of 60 grams of protein/day.

I do the cottage cheese occasionally.
Chicken salad from ingles
I eat anything, just smaller quantaties

I would do the shakes just to get my protien up.  At GNC they have AMP chocolate protien shakes and they have a lot of protien in it.  Protien shots are not good for you but try to get my shakes

Hello all,

I hope you stayed cool yesterday.  Yesterday we found out that our stuff is 40 miles away and because the lawyers are dragging their feet, we have to pay another month's storage.  So the trial goes on.

Today, going to the library for ASL conversation.  This is one of the highlights of my day.  I so enjoy talking to folks who sign.  I wish I could get hired by a school or someplace where I can use it regularly.  I don't want to lose my skills.

Just saw the post about the new bariatric center in Raleigh!  I would love to work in bariatrics.  Just don't know how I would accomplish that one.

Got another job rejection yesterday.  Also on the news, they say they are closing a poultry plant in Chatham County.  Which means more people competing for the same jobs.

Yea, I am a bit frustrated right now.

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Hi Kim,

I wanted to take a moment to say hello and welcome you to the group. I look forward to getting to know you as you make this life-changing journey. Re: eating well today or not... know that every time you get ready to have something to eat it's an opportunity to make a positive impact and water that's under the bridge is already gone.

I understand that you wanted a sleeve, but if it makes you feel any better, you are likely to do very well with your RNY  and as long as you are compliant with your supplementation, you should expect to not only look fabulous, but feel fabulous for the long term.

Wishing you every success as you make your way. I hope that you will feel free to ask questions along the way.

Warmly,

Barbara

Hi Nola,

Sarah's recommendation was on the money and you are right it can take some work to find someone to do the eval for you if the Dr's affiliated with your surgeon's office do not take Tri-Care. If you haven't been able to find someone yet, I would suggest that you cross post this to the following forums: Main, RNY and Insurance. There are folks that will go to those forums that don't necessarily visit here and may have the answer you are looking for.

I have a support group that meets in Raleigh and you are most welcome to come to any of the meetings that I host. If you would like information about the meetings you can go to www.meetup.com/nc-wls. Sarah and a number of the other folks in central NC belong to and often attend the meetings.

I look forward to getting to know you as you go through this incredible, life-changing journey.

All the best,

Barbara

Looking at the carton is not cheating- it is showing that you are paying attention.

Ok I had read your original post wrong *yipes* I thought you had meant per serving and was like WHOA, lucky duck finding CC with that much protein per serving, I want to go get it. NOW I understand lol. Yea I like Breakstones but prefer HELLUVA Good myself. Now do not ask me the protein cuz I couldn't tell you.  I am getting tentative food lists ready for after I get bac on solids. Hubby is such a sweetie, he said he doesn't want me cooking anything until I am about a week to two weeks out because he wants me to do what I have to do to get back on par. I thought he was gunna suggest he would go and get him some fast food or some other junk. BUT he is a big fan of chef boyardee (lol) and Banquet microwave stuff. Yes it is crap but at least it has a lower fat yield than FF does. I will not fault the skinny lil **** for his vices. He is taking alot on himself just by being with me during this surgery- inevitably I am gunna be a grumpy bear- I can NOT stand pain really and when I am in pain watch out..... LOL

Thanks, but I really like my gym and you know how hard that is to find!! Plus anything south of 540 is out of the way for me. Brier Creek only works because I work there.
