Today I reached my first Short Term Goal for this year: 229! That's 31 pounds since mid March and I'm proud to say I'm in the 220's for the first time since... 1999 or 2000. I wasn't good about weighing back then. My lowest of 233 was back in 2008 right before I started trying for a baby.
It feels so good and yet surreal all at the same time! Next goal is 199 by Jan 1st but I'm not sure I can do that. I have to look at the math on that one. Maybe shoot for 20-25 pounds by Jan 1st?

Today is a 10 or 11 hour workday so I just plan to get through the day. I have the weekend off but no books so I'll have to go to the bookstore or get stuff out of my own library. I'm only reading escapism, sci fi, mystery and romance but have hooked on to romance lately. What are others reading? Don't forget to try out your local public library (says your handy dandy public librarian)!

Becca,
I haven't used almond mild. I used lactaid or water. But whatever gets you though is what you should shoot for. Congratulations on the surgery date. I'll be sedning you good vibes that day.
And if you live in the Durham area, we have a new support group forming. We'd love to have you.

It's Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you are happy. I am progressing well on my hat. I think I will just make hats until I run out of yarn. They are all going to be a combination of white, brown and pink (my step-daughter's wedding colors). I need to keep focused on something while I wait for things to improve. Today, nothing planned. You?

YIPPIE! I have a date of August the 25th. So excited. I have to do a 2 week liver shrinking diet as a lot of us have to and I am wondering if anyone used Almond milk with their shakes for the liver shrinking diet? I start these shakes tomorrow, 4 a day and was curious. Thanks in advance.

Thanks! It took me along while to get up to 1/2 mile - probably over a month. I have the advantage of being one of those people who floats and the disadvanatge of bad knees and back so swimming was my best option. I actually started ou****er walking and then went to swimming. I look like a dork because I use my snorkel mask and snorkel becuase I don't breathe correctly if I swim without them. I think it is a good cardio workout but I also know that I wouldn't get myself to do anything else. Some cardio is better than no cardio, right? But go**** feels so good to slide through tha****er!

I'm at work on my lunchbreak doing relaxing by reading posts on OH. I've lost another pound but my weight loss seems to have evened out at about 1-3 pounds a week lately. Much better than a stall, though. Tonight we work out at the Y. Last time I was able to reach a big goal for me: I swam 1/2 mile! It was so satisfying. I can't wait to try it again today.

Congrats Maggie on your even weight loss! That is no easy thing to do! How long did it take you to work up to 1/2 mile of swimming?? That is fantastic! How long does it take you to swim that? I love swimming, but I'm always worried I'm not getting enough of a cardio workout. What do you think??
