Hi all. I have been doing really well since surgery on the 18th, but I do have one little problem....I wake up every morning feeling . Anybody else have this problem? My surgeon suggested I drink something high in protien right before bed and I have tried that but it doesnt seem to help much. And before anyone suggests it, I am NOT pregnant. Lisa L. 380/346/170

Is this nauseous feeling coming before you take your vitamns or after? The reason ask is because I get a little nauseous after I take my multi-vitamin. If not, I would suggest keeping a diary of what you eat and have your surgeon review it to see if you could make any changes in your diet.

Before I take my vitamins. I feel that way as soon as I get up in the morning. I am ok once I eat something. Lisa L. 380/345/170

HI Lisa, I haven't had any nausea unless I lose my head and don't chew something good enough or eat too fast...never in the morning after getting out of bed.

You blood sugar may be a little low in the morning. Sometimes the body has a tough time regulating blood sugar overnight. I would suggest eating a few bites of something right before bedtime. I know that you are a fairly new post-op, so I am not sure how limited your diet is, but I would reccommend a spoonful of peanut butter--it has a good ratio of protein fat & carbs, which will help keep blood sugar stable for longer. Good luck. R. Sperry
