A few questions.
Firstly I knwo I haven't been around mostly because of going to court lately. Between my brother going for riding a dirt bike without a helmet to an adoptive custody issue and also testifying in a molestation case It's shall we say been busy? lol.
Plus I've been furiosly working on my book as well.
As for my questions...
I got my medicaid card today and tomorrow I'll be calling the doctor's office tos et up my first appointment with my PCP. I plan to explore other options besides just WLS. I've had small successes with diets and then even larger failures. I don't want to go there looking like I want a hand out. In any case.
1) How many of you have dealt with Medicaid?
2) How did it go?
My MBI is 57.3. I'm roughly 5'10" and currently weigh 400. I don't see them saying no, but there's always a first denial in my eyes. Same happened for me getting Medicaid. I've read some of the information on the SSA website but it takes forever to dig through it because the site isn't doen properly in my opinion.
3) Best way to approach my PCP about it? Just flat out say 'This is what I want to do'?
I've got a list of questions I've amde as I've looked through things and I've got a letter I typed today to give to her. I don't know if I should give that to her the very day I meet her or a follow up visit. I know I'm going to be doing alot of things soon. One is getting my glasses replaced. I've been without health care for well over two years so yea.
Anyhow, Any other suggestions?
