Dreamfields Lasagne Noodles
Are so good. I made lasagne today for my family & it was awesome. Hubby & I (both post WLS) ate the lasagne and it went down great!
Here is the general recipe that I made in case somebody else wants to try.
sautee 5-6 cups raw spinich w/pam( it reduces to about 1 cup)
sautee one yellow squash and one zucchini w/pam (aprox 2 cups raw chopped)
add salt & pepper to your veggies to taste
Mix sauteed veggies into 2 cups skim ricotta and one cup ff cottage cheese add about 1/2 cup parm. cheese
sautee ground beef (or turkey) with salt & pepper to taste
rinse & drain beef
add drained meat to one jar spag. sauce
Layer lasagne noodles (pre-boiled) with cheese mixture & meat sauce
Cover top layer of lasagne with about 1 cup spag. sauce (no meat added) & 1 cup shredded mozz. cheese.
This makes an enormous lasagne.
Enjoy!
(By the way, I had to order the lasagne noodles online as I haven't found them locally yet)
higher in protein and low carb. Also, I ordered from www.netrition.com along with a number of other things and shipping was a flat rate. That netrition site has something called Cinnamunch--a cinnamon flavored pork rind. They are so good. each serving is 45 calories, 3 grms fat, 5 grms protein, 1 carb, 0 sugar. So delicious.
I looked at the store-locator and called to confirm that the pasta is available at Food Lion (called the store in Mint Hill at the corner of 51 and Secrest Shortcut)...this is the Dreamfields brand of pasta and it is on the shelf with the other pasta brands...I started to order on-line but couldn't see paying the $8.00 shipping charge
Might as well put the link to a $1 coupon as well...downloadable:
