Vitamins- 3 years post op RNY
Hello everyone,
Early in my post op life I had such a problem getting all my chewables in that after a while my NUT bean letting me take my vitamins in regular pill form. Her philosophy was that at least I'd be getting some vitamin absorption-more than I was getting since I often forgot completely when taking the chewables.
Is anyone else taking regular vitamins? If so, what's your schedule? I am one that needs a set regimen.
Thanks for your feedback!
Tammy

I don't do chewables. I have been taking tablets/pills since 3 weeks post-op. I bought a 4xday weekly pill organizer. Here is my med schedule:
Breakfast: MVI, Calcium/D, B12, Miralax
Lunch: Calcium/D, Vit D, colace
Dinner: MVI, Calcium/D, Biotin
Bedtime: Carbonyl Iron/C, colace, Nexium, Mag oxide

I do Centrum chewable 2x a day..one in the morning with a liquid b12 complex and one in the evening with my Iron. I got off mine last year and I really screwed my Iron levels up and just finished infusions cause it is hard to obsorb the good stuff and get back on track.
