Two Weeks Out - Pureed Recipe Ideas

So I'm almost 2 weeks out from my RNY. I go tomorrow for my follow up and I'm quite sure I'm moving on to the pureed foods phase. Anyone with any delicious recipes? I've been feeling pretty good for the most part since my surgery. Today has been a not so good day. Think I may have overdone it yesterday for my birthday. Been in bed all day.

Well i'm sure I'll be better tomorrow but I just wanted to get some ideas for some yummy meals for this next phase.

Thanks.

Hey Gidget,

Congratulations on making it to the 'Loser's Bench!' I wish I had some recipes for your pureed food phase, but my program doesn't do that phase... We had to stay on clear fluids and protein drinks for the first 3 to 4 weeks, then goes directly to soft foods. If you try cross posting this to the RNY and Main forums you will likely get some good ideas.

I'm looking forward to seeing less of you soon!

I am having bypass with Dr. Moran on Wednesday and I was so excited to see someone else up here with the same Dr.!! How did your bypass go? Did you like Rex? Anything you can share I would love to hear!

It sounds disgusting, but this was really tasty the two times I had it during my puree'd food phase.  I took a can of  tuna (including the water) and puree'd it with a teaspoon of low fat mayo and a few dill pickle slices.  It tasted almost like a tuna fish sandwhich.

Looking back, I don't think I would ever eat that now, but it was a treat to have after all of those protein shakes.

Once I hit the soft foods phase, I devoured french onion soup (sans the croutons).

I had a Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass Procedure in the Raleigh area on June 9th, 2011 by Dr. Moran.  www.alasurgery.com

I liked taking Progresso Split Pea soup and running it through the blender.  I tried it with Lentil soup but that didn't work too well.  The split pea though, was wonderful.
